How I Work
I have always been curious about what shapes us as human beings: how biology, psychology, relationships, culture, and life experiences come together in the way we think, feel, behave, and relate to the world.
This curiosity is at the heart of my work. I value scientific rigour and careful clinical judgement, while remaining open to complexity and individuality.
Psychotherapeutic Approach
My psychotherapeutic work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Schema Therapy, enriched by relational and mind–body perspectives. I am particularly interested in the patterns we develop over the course of our lives: how they once made sense, how they shape our experience of ourselves and others, and what allows them to change.
Beyond a Single Perspective
I am particularly interested in what happens at the boundaries between disciplines. Biological, psychological, relational, and cultural perspectives are often treated as separate ways of explaining human behaviour. I find the questions that emerge when these perspectives meet far more interesting.
Much of my work is driven by these intersections: how scientific developments change the way we understand mental health, how culture shapes clinical thinking, and how new therapeutic approaches challenge established assumptions.
I believe meaningful progress often begins with a willingness to question familiar frameworks, bring different perspectives into dialogue, and remain open to complexity.
For Courts & Institutions
I conduct psychiatric medico-legal assessments for courts, social courts, public institutions, and insurance bodies. I am certified in psychiatric medico-legal assessment by the Berlin Medical Council (Ärztekammer Berlin).
My work is grounded in absolute impartiality and professional independence. I approach each assessment without predetermined conclusions, with careful attention to the available evidence, the clinical findings, and the specific medico-legal question at hand.
I have extensive experience in psychiatric assessment and social medicine, including complex questions concerning functional capacity, participation, disability, and the relationship between mental health and occupational functioning.
While medico-legal assessment requires neutrality and analytical precision, I believe it should never lose sight of the person being assessed. My approach combines scientific rigour and careful clinical analysis with a respectful and humanistic understanding of individual experience.
I accept medico-legal assessment commissions exclusively from courts, public institutions, and insurance bodies. I do not accept privately commissioned assessments from individuals.
